I just got back from Walmart. I never shop there but hubby does ocassionally for certain things and today he asked me if I would go and get those certain things for him so he could work on the house. I am a loving wife and I obliged.
The place makes my skin crawl. From the layout to the feel of it. It’s chaotic and makes my brain hurt. I wanted to gouge my eyes out the moment I walked in and I swear it had nothing to do with both of my kids in the cart screaming for something or other.
I couldn’t have been happier the moment I walked out the door. And no, not because I saved a bundle of money, which I did, but because it was like stepping back into my own universe.
I’m not sure what it is about MallWart (what Drew has funnily named it) that makes me cringe, but whatever it is, I am going to listen to my brain screaming for me to run far far away next time. No amount of money saved is worth the experience that makes me want to shoot myself in the head. A girl has her limits.

Ohh, yes yes. I absolutely HATE going into Walmart. It makes me feel… dirty. And cheap. And I get very depressed when inside. I avoid it at all costs. It’s so irritating though – there’s one right behind my apartment complex, which makes it so convenient! I’ve gone in there three times and was itching to get out the whole time. Ugh.

I used to hate it… when they built a Super WalMart in my town. It was so big and I could hardly find my way around. I just wanted to go back to smaller stores.
But now that I’ve been going for a few years… I like it. I love it actually. I can’t imagine going back to the way things were.

I prefer Costco over Wal-Mart in so many ways. The products are better quality yet still deeply discounted. And yes, the stores are not quite as creepy!

WHAT other stores do you visit then… “Costco ” ??? Our Costco is “creepy”.. (the merch. layout etc)
What do you not like about Wallmart. Could it be you do not like the non white, low income people?… Admit it. That is it all about. “those” people are dirty etc.

I couldn’t agree more! I hate stepping into Walmart. My husband mentioned that “wouldn’t it be nice if Walmart just closed.” At first, I thought YES YES YES, then I realized – They leave an even bigger mess when then do close!
