I am calling today’s roundup the Mardi Gras Edition because the kiddos and I went to a Mardi Gras party this morning with playgroup and we’re going to another Mardi Gras party tomorrow night. The week has been hectic. My life is somehow quite scattered and disorganized right now. I have had to set some priorities and shift some stuff around to make more time for cleaning/decluttering, exercising, and cooking healthy meals to keep myself sane. The house was clean yesterday. I promise it was, even if you came today you’d have no idea. Kids can do that to a house, you know. Anyway, the Mardi Gras festivities have been and will be a nice distraction.
I haven’t even been able to keep up in my reader this week simply because I have had too much going on and have been trying to avoid sitting at the computer for too much time each day. And my goodness all those comments on my giveaway have been keeping me busy!! Something has had to give…but I have read some good stuff when I’ve had the chance so here goes.
First – don’t forget today is the last day to enter in My Barnes and Noble $25 Giftcard Giveaway! All you have to do is leave a comment. I’m closing off entries at midnight tonight and will randomly choose the winner tomorrow morning and announce it here. So make sure you enter and check back tomorrow!
Also, go check out Rocket Finance where he’s put together a project Great Advice for Buying a Home. My article So You Want to Buy a Fixer Upper? was included in the project along with many other really great ones sharing different perspectives on Housing right now.
From my reader, some of my favorite reads this week were
Love these Homemade Cleaning Product Ideas from Being Frugal.
Early Retirement Extreme lays out some great ideas for How to Downsize Your Kitchen.
The Good Human writes The Top 10 Ways to Green Your Children. An excellent read. I think #6 is the most important.
And I’ve found a few new to me blogs that I’ve really started to enjoy and wanted to share them with y’all.
Enjoy the weekend everyone!
